just heard from FN

SCAR 16S is $2,696.56

glad my AR does everything I need for that price....

for that amount

I can have one nice 5.56 carbine, a .22 upper, 6.5 upper and maybe even a .458 SOCOM upper......

There was a press release from the military that said what they pay per unit.

It was $2200ish for the SCAR S with 3 uppers, suppressor, and 10 mags. Slightly more for the SCAR L.

FN can go pound sand. My interest just evaporated instantly.

I wanna hear from all the people in the other civilian SCAR thread talking about how they'll get one as soon as possible since it's the most hardcore ultimate OMGWTFBBQ battle rifle ever devised because SOCOM uses it. While at the same time they claimed that the Bushmaster ACR/Masada will sit on shelves. Ha.

I bet the Bushmaster reps just got a little more spring in their step. Assuming the ACR does actually get produced.

They can keep it. The estimated price @ both SHOTs was said to be $1800 for the L. I can get a sweet custom 1911 or kitted out piston AR for that, someone at FN be hedging on it becoming a collectors item.
