Many of the ads I see for rifles and ammo do not say FFL required.  Is this important bit of info. ommitted sometimes, or do they not always require it?  Obviously, I would call them first, but I'm sure somebody here has ordered stuff before from Shotgun news...

Thanks...

I have ordered plenty of firearms from their advertisers, and they will all tell you it has to be sent to an FFL. Unless its a ATF sting!
Shot gun news even puts this in their info.

It is omitted sometimes because some companies take for granted that you know it must be shipped to an FFL.

FYI.....There is no requirement for ammo to be shipped to an FFL only.

Not always. Some companies may be local to the buyer in which case, some of them will sell directly dealer to buyer.

This is the case especially in Florida. We are home to Gunsmoke Enterprises and Kurts Kustom to name a few.

Many of these mail order dealers also have storefronts and if you visit in person, you don't need an FFL.

Yeah, but who looks in Shotgun News trying to find a local dealer with a storefront that they can go visit?

I don't think that has anything to do with them leaving out the little FFL required statement.
