On this anniversary of the Day of Infamy, here is something that isn't said often enough.

Thanks

"Sleep my sons your duty is done...
For freedom's light has come.
Sleep in the silent depths of the sea
or in the hallowed sod.
Untill you hear at dawn
the low clear reveille of God."

As the bugle sounded and the day began,
Many men awoke, unaware of how it would end.
A low roaring sound warned of coming peril.
As people watched the skies, astounded by men acting so feral.
Now many sleep in the quiet blue sea.
Many who were prepared and gave their all for me.
So back through the years, I send my thoughts
Thanks to the ones who died and the ones who fought.
My life, I will live and try to repay,
The ones who died for me that day.

Rest in Peace
