Just getting out of Benning about 2 months ago, C Co. 2/54 had the M16A4's, and theirs were also equipped with the rail system on the handguards, although i never did see them have any attachments.  My company did get to shoot about 40-50 brand new A4's set up like this, me and 4 other guys or so got to put the night vision and paq-4 C's on them for a night fire on the range.  These rifles were brand new, not a scratch on them, but of course, we only got to use them for one night.

HOOAH...C/2-54...Chargin' Charlie - Charge On!

I'm a C/2-54 alumnus...June 1988.  Wasn't it a surprise when you got out of the cattle car from reception after a 20 minute drive and only later find out you're only 200 yards or so from Johnston Hall?

I was in D 2/54, but yeah, I did make a couple trips back to reception, and it wasn't a very far walk compared the the 25 mile'er and such!

Also, Charlie Co's mascot dog they had went AWOL while they were on FTX!  No kidding!
