No one was hurt.  My roommate was awakened by someone pounding on the door a few minutes ago, about 3:45am, by the guy that lives upstairs, who was making sure no one down here got shot by his dumb ass.  I'm suprised he didn't get shot himself for waking up an Italian in the middle of the night.

I miss all the fun (I was at a pool party where there were wimmenz)

Your room mate didn't wake up to the sound of gunfire?

Apparently not.  I presume it must have been a .22 for this reason, and that we can't find a hole in the ceiling anywhere.  Had a bullet actually entered our residence, tonight would still be getting more and more interesting.

That happened back at my first unit in the barracks. Some dumbass in the room right above me who had pretty much zero weapons experience outside of the Army bought an XD, was doing something with it in his room, and fired a shot through the wall, into his bathroom and bounced off the floor. Fortunately it didn't go into the next room over.

I'm surprised the sound of the shot didn't get any attention.  A .22 isn't really that quiet indoors.  I know this because I made the mistake of firing a .22 indoors at a target without wearing hearing protection.    That's the kind of mistake you only make once.

I am not supprised no one heard it. The room he was in muffled the sound. It may have been loud in there, but the sound has to travel through the walls.

Sure-you think there's no damage, but the next time you go to flip on your TV, that little lead slug will be sitting in between the wiring in the wall. POP! Dead short!

I'm really not surprised that that the shot went unheard.  The only time we've had a noise complaint in this complex is when some old people lived above us, right after we got Guitar Hero 2 (and surround sound).  Thats one aspect of this complex thats done right.

Had this happened with both of us home, at around 10:00pm we might very well have asked him in for a beer, talked shit about guns for a while, and turned it into a learning experience.  3:45am is no time for such things though.
