We need more shooters at the next MMS for the Missouri Madness Match.

Missouri Madness Match-
- Start from the standing position, shoot from any position at the commence fire command (but no benches next time!),
- Targets should be located at least 100 yards from the firing line,
- Any firearm permitted, each team allowed only one rifle with magnifying scope.  20 round maximum magazines allowed.  Slings and bipods allowed.
- All team members fire simultaneously; 60 seconds to shoot as many rounds as possible.  No reshoots for any reason.  Cross fires count for the target they land on.
- The winning team has the largest number of hits in the target black.  Ties are settled by a reshoot for a time period agreed upon by the competitors.

This time we shot with three, two man teams at 100 yards on SR-1 targets (the 100 yard reduced course version of the SR 200 yard offhand target).  The first round resulted in a tie of 20 hits in the black (two teams).  The tiebreaker target won with 27 (at least that's what I recall) hits in the black.

I  thought it was great fun - I think my partner (Mark) was trying to win by setting the target on fire with tracers!  I mangaed to get 40 rounds off for both matches.

We even had prizes - JB Bore Shine, and some Sierra bullets (52, 69 and 77 grain HPBT's).  I think medcop also donated an ammunition box.

The SR-1 target is about the right size for this match - a 200 yard center would have resulted in a very large number of hits in the black that would have taken forever to count.

Don't worry protector76239, it was an extremely informal get together - the "match" probably took 30 minutes, including putting targets up, reshooting, and taking the targets down.

If you want to BS and look at hardware, well this was the place - but I did think it was unusual that no one had an M1A or Garand (at least I didn't see any).
