Painter,

From what I understand talking to the range officer that was down there early last year, was that it was almost shut down because some moron threw a cast iron tub at the base of the 25 yard range and opened up on it with an AK.  A richochet hit someone.

Also, some other dumbass put 100lbs of gun powder at the base of the hundred yard range and lit it off blowing half the backstop away.

What they have done, is rectricted the use of targets to paper only on the provided cardboard stands.  The hours of operation are 9-5 wednesday throught sunday.  Closed monday and tuesday.  During the summer the hours are extended to 7.  There is a range officer down there all the time now.  I must admit, it makes for a much safer, and very much cleaner range, but it was fun to shoot empty soda cans and milk jugs full of water.

Guys, can you believe this?  Matt S is my boyfriend, moving to a new job soon far, far away (two time zones away), hence his "not for long" note and my "lonely" statement, and he can't even acknowledge it here.  geesh.  what's a girl gotta do to get some attention around here [?]

ARlady,

You know I have acknowledged our relationship on this board many times over.  I don't figure it will be long until your with me in the new locale.  I just wanna make sure I don't end up coming back in 3-6 months if the new job turns out to suck rocks.  'Course the sale of this way cool house would suck major rocks.

Besides, a 1,500 mile move is the only way to tick ya off, and stay out of your range.  I've seen you shoot, I don't wanna be within a 1,000 yards of ya when your pist.  Even better, in the new locale, we can shoot at ranges further than 100 yards

Matt S: check your email.

Hee Hee.  I bet you other guys think we're silly.  I mean I only live 20 minues from him.  You'd think we'd just call each other on the phone.  But since we're both online...geesh, this is silly. [:I]

I grew up in the Lafayette area (Buck Creek), but left when I was 20.  I have only ever returned to visit a couple of times, even though I'm currently only about 6 hours away.

I still have a good friend in Delphi that I keep in touch with.

My 20th High School Reunion is in a couple of years. I've blown all of the others off, but I may actually decide to go to this one...  Who really knows, or cares..?
