Yeah, I'm in W. Lafayette (Purdue) right now, but home is NE IN.
I call Indy home. But it's going to get very lonely here in about a month...Matt S... [:(]
Just north of Muncie here, with a FFL btw, all transfers from here free
Indy.
p.s. Is it true that the range at Camp Atterbury is closing pretty quick? |
Painter,
From what I understand talking to the range officer that was down there early last year, was that it was almost shut down because some moron threw a cast iron tub at the base of the 25 yard range and opened up on it with an AK. A richochet hit someone. Also, some other dumbass put 100lbs of gun powder at the base of the hundred yard range and lit it off blowing half the backstop away. What they have done, is rectricted the use of targets to paper only on the provided cardboard stands. The hours of operation are 9-5 wednesday throught sunday. Closed monday and tuesday. During the summer the hours are extended to 7. There is a range officer down there all the time now. I must admit, it makes for a much safer, and very much cleaner range, but it was fun to shoot empty soda cans and milk jugs full of water. |

Guys, can you believe this? Matt S is my boyfriend, moving to a new job soon far, far away (two time zones away), hence his "not for long" note and my "lonely" statement, and he can't even acknowledge it here. geesh. what's a girl gotta do to get some attention around here [?]
ARlady,
You know I have acknowledged our relationship on this board many times over. I don't figure it will be long until your with me in the new locale. I just wanna make sure I don't end up coming back in 3-6 months if the new job turns out to suck rocks. 'Course the sale of this way cool house would suck major rocks. Besides, a 1,500 mile move is the only way to tick ya off, and stay out of your range. I've seen you shoot, I don't wanna be within a 1,000 yards of ya when your pist. Even better, in the new locale, we can shoot at ranges further than 100 yards |
Matt S: check your email.
Hee Hee. I bet you other guys think we're silly. I mean I only live 20 minues from him. You'd think we'd just call each other on the phone. But since we're both online...geesh, this is silly. [:I] |
Arlady,
hey hey, what are you tryin' to pull. I just did check my e-mail. Are messing with my mind again? [BD] |
nope, but i wish i would have thought of that. it wouldn't be too hard to mess with your feeble mind. [}:D]
had trouble sending it. took me two minutes. kept getting the an error page. then Windows Millenium Edition kicked me off the internet and had to reconnect. it should be there now. |

Damn, I started this and I never mentioned where I am located... duh! I live in Lafayette, but I am from NW Indiana (up around Merrillville).
Next door to you infantry556, I just moved here from W. Lafayette 2 months ago. E-mail me sometime & we'll have a beer & talk about ARs and campus hotties! |
Merrillville here.
Sounds like Switchback, SCAR, & WILSON are my closest neighbors. Anyone want to post a get-together in the Meetings and Events Forum? |
Im new to the boards and on the west side of Indianapolis. Nice to see Indiana shooters on here. |
I am in INDIANA also . Elkhart/Goshen area .
Extreme northern IN east of Southbend . |
I live in Indiana but I am a transplanted Buckeye.... go figure...
I sure am hoping that the CCW law goes through in Ohio. That's been a tough nut to crack. [smash] [sniper] The Sniper |

WOW! Chicago, gregw45, Switchback, SCAR, centercourt, Delta, SURFIT, 1, OlyCar15, all within 5, or 10 minutes of Merrillville.
There is at least three more that I shoot with every week, but I can't think of their handles at this board (If I ever knew them at all). I've met with, traded with, or shot with almost everyone on the list. BTW, anyone going to the Crown Point show tomorrow? |
Calling out from Taylorsville here. Headed to the range at camp Atterbury in about an hour, its only 10 minutes away. Lucky huh?[:D]
I am in Henryville. South part of the state. Near Jeffersonville, New ALbany and Clarksville.

Hey SOPMOD, I am in southern Indiana less than 10 minutes from the Bloomington Gate of Crane. I have been fortunate to get drawn for the deer hunts there the last few years and took a beautiful buck out of there last year.
SORRY FOR THE DOUBLE POST, GUYS!!! |

I grew up in the Lafayette area (Buck Creek), but left when I was 20. I have only ever returned to visit a couple of times, even though I'm currently only about 6 hours away.
I still have a good friend in Delphi that I keep in touch with. My 20th High School Reunion is in a couple of years. I've blown all of the others off, but I may actually decide to go to this one... Who really knows, or cares..? |
