Not clear wether the NA "rescued" them as they say or wether the Taliban just abandoned them.

They are now in Pakistan after being flown out by a 160th Regiment Nighthawk.

Just on "The Fox Report With Shepard Smith"

Let me see if I've got this correct: American Christians go ***voluntarily*** into a extremist Muslim country where they KNOW that teaching or preaching Christianity is wholly ILLEGAL, they get arrested & we're all supposed to be SHOCKED or RELIEVED when they're freed?

I don't think so at my house. If someone is stupid enough to go into a country like Afghanistan, without some shooting back-up, I have no sympathy for them.

Really!!?   So your not the kind of guy that stands by your convictions?

You've got the right to feel that way, I guess.

I'm glad they are free, but they got what they asked for as far as being arrested. they knew the risks and what did they accomplish, besides almost meeting their god.
rogerb (nothing obviously biblical here)

Fox Report with Sheperd Smith just put up a press release from the Pentagon right before they went off the air.

3 Nighthawks flew in and snatched them from a village 50 miles south of Kabul. They and the truck they were in were abandoned by their escort when they came upon a roadblock set up by US SpecOps and "other agencies", according to Pentagon one of may such roadbocks set up by Allied Special Ops and select native units in the search for al Quida and Taliban leadership representatives all over south Afganistan in the last 3 nights of no moon.

I love the way that headline states "Taliban wants reduction in bombing - willing to discuss handing over bin Laden"

Yeah, riiiiight.

Seem's I've heard this before?  Oh yeah, they wanted us to stop bombing then - maybe they're learning how this is going to go?

Bush is speaking now, he is telling the media to ask the Sec. of Def. who is going to give a brefing sometime in the next hour for details on the rescue.  He said he understood that there there was no combat.

I'm not a fundemantalist, but I am a Christian. They went to preach The Word in a country that could use it. Risking danger is less important. Besides, one of them is from Brentwood Tennessee, thats about 15 minutes from me. She's a local girl! I'm glad shes OK.

If that was your sister would you say "she knew the risks"?

Well we are still waiting for a imminent statment or release of some sort from the Pentagon about what went on to facilitate their rescue.
