What kind of accuracy can one expect from a standard A2 bushmaster 20in. HBAR chrome lined with open sights at 100m?

Depends on how good are your eyes.  I cannot shoot a rifle anymore without a scope.

Depends on what your taget looks like and the ammo you use.  5" with a pie plate and Wolf ammo ;) and 1.5" with a benchrest target and my 53 grain reloads.  That's with a mil-spec 1:7 FN chrome bore and target sights.  0.042" rear, 0.052" front.  YMMV.

Mine will shoot onto a baseball or a little better with Winchester Q loads. That seems good enough. That's with the iron sights.

I can do about 1.5 to 2" off the bench same setup as you bbl is 1/9 with commercial ammo. reloads might tighten that if I'd get to it, most milsurp will loosen it out to 3 to 5" for me maybe 7-8" for that south african crap.

I get 4-5 inch groups through my SP1 upper and irons shooting off a toolbox.  This was with the South African stuff.  Perhaps it likes 1 in 12 better.
