Wasn't that long ago they were calling
us cowards for fighting them from the air, and
saying "Come fight us on the ground." Hmmmmm...

Where next?  [thinking]

I'm lost here, did they not allow the US to be attacked by air?
So what's their bitch?

Can A10's operate from carriers???  This would
seem to be an ideal situation to implement their
"special" talents......

Soon, US A-10 Warthogs will be operating from the rebuilt airfield that was originally built by the Soviets in Mazar-e-Sharif.

Then we may be able to see yet another 'highway of death' similar to the one we saw for Iraqis retreating from Kuwait in the Gulf War!

This war is gonna get really interesting, real soon!

Damn ETH - you read my mind.  I'd like to add
something here.  I have a close friend who fought in that war.  One of the guys in his
squad brought a video camera, and they shot
about 8-9 hours of film starting with the trip
over there, the night the ground attack started,
including MRLS firing as viewed thru night
vision equipment.

The last 30-40 minutes of tape WAS the
famed "Highway of Death", only it was alot more
up-close and personal than what the news showed.
We blew the f'in shit out of that place.
If I hadn't seen this one tape in particular,
I don't think I could ever have gotten a visual
picture of how bad that was.  Unforgettable.

NOW can we send in the 101st?

Roaming over the countryside following sightings by SF/NA forces its the classic Air Cavalry mission. Now that we have cleared the road to Tajikistan we finally have a way to keep the 101st supplied with the prodigous quantites of jet fuel it needs to maintain high tempo ops can we PLEASE used them now!!
