why is it that every time a gun is sold, it is "on the street"

Boy, they sure have their anti-gun lingo down.
Here's my fav:

"The Reids allegedly bought the guns overseas and then added adapters to the guns, making them even more dangerous."

What the f*ck does that mean?

Never heard of their store.

ATF agents said that Victor Reid, Jr., and his mother, Loretta (pictured, left), were reconfiguring guns and turning them into illegal assault weapons.

The Reids allegedly bought the guns overseas and then added adapters to the guns, making them even more dangerous.

Horrors. Sounds dangerous doesn't it?

Mom, Son Allegedly Sold Dangerous Guns

That's actually the headline. As opposed to warm, fuzzy and safe guns!

This funny, too:

You too can end up on TV and provide the feds with something to grandstand over. Be careful out there.

Noname- They sold all kinds, pistols, military bolt actions, they had some real beat up sks rifles, they would usally have quite a few overpriced pre-ban weapons, and post ban stuff. They actually had a pretty big table.

Hope they didn't do something stupid. A few years ago a large dealer in NorCal was busted and fined $500,000.00 for assembling and selling a couple of 10-22's with sidefolder pistol grip stocks.

My guess is that
they either
made some kind of US parts conversion
without first submitting it for
ATF approval or put some kind of cheesy
set screw thread adaptor on the muzzle.

Before everyone goes to arms, I have dealt with these people.  They regularly show up at the gun shows in this area.  Most of their prices are out of control to begin with.  I did see what looked like a preban Colt sporter II for sale for $1000.  Boy was I tempted.  The other doc I was with said, they were shady and not to buy it.  I wrote down the serial number and checked it.  Postban receiver with a preban upper!  They also a Arsenal USA AK for $1200 and a 90% Steyr AUG, 20 inch barrel for the bargin basement price of $5500!  I did buy some cheap ammo from them however.  Never ddid buy a gun.  Thank GOD!  Im sure the ATF will be contacting evereyone on their records.

That was my favorite part too.  Yes, call the BATF and tell them you have an illegal gun.  They promise nothing will happen to you.

Like somebody would actually step forward and claim one of these.
This reminds me of a story I saw in the Anchorage Daily News late last year. We had a rash of Meth labs burning to the ground in Mountain View, and the police were baffled as to why nobody stepped forward to say that "their" house had burned to the ground. Go figure.

He was charging his gun battery.

I was not aware that "smart gun" technology was so readily available.

Well what do you know.  Could there be such a thing as a legal assault weapon?

Anyone bail bondsmen on the board?

I've only ever found one gun on the street, and it was a plastic water gun that had been run over by about 200 cars.

I bought some PMP there once, and almost laid away a 1911 this summer. Glad I didn't... I'm sure anyone who filled out a 4473 will be getting a visit. I talked to that guy at the last Mt. Clemens show a couple of weeks ago - their stuff always did seem overpriced too.
