no not a bad neighborhood just a couple bad apples.i think he just turned 18 so could be bye bye for awhile.i would liked to have shot him but have a good rapor with LEO's here and they got a bad wrap a couple years ago for a few shootings, all warrented legal shootings,ya know the kind where the FBI investigates, and a couple of cops i knew were shot and killed a couple of years back.i only pull a gun when needed,to protect wife,kids,property and the lives of others. i have had to in a couple instances,and each time the perp took off like a pissed on cat.no i am not a cop but will help one every chance i get.always have and always will...dave

Good job- let the cops handle it- that's their job. Besides, unless -and even if- deadly force is about to be used against you, you would go to jail if you shot him or anybody else while they were committing a crime. At least that is the case in Massachusetts....
It would have been nice to have been able to say to the mother after the cops thanked you for not shooting her son the burglar, "No, I wasn't going to shoot him, I was going to shoot YOU, for doing such a lousy job of raising that son of a bitch (pun intended)..." |

I had this happen once but these kids were stupid as were the cops as i was watching them try to remove my stereo i was on the phone with the police after i hung up i turned the outside light on in the driveway they never stopped what they were doing,they must have been really bad stereo thieves cause they were at it for almost 10 minutes,then from the front window while waiting for the cops i noticed one drive right by the house so i figured to take matters into my own hands at this point and decided to let my 120# german shepard out to play, the cops then had no problem figuring which house it was.but the worst part about it was the parents of the kids tried to sue me for my dog biting them,they didnt get any money but i did have to have my dog examined for rabies and had to go in for shots every week for a month.

Keep head up & eyes open. This type won't leave it alone. Depending upon record, it may not be long for him to be back on the street awaiting trial.
If mom is a real piece of work she may try to encourage some friends (her's or son's) to "make things right" |

Another trick I learned is to solder razor blades to the back of stuff like the stereo,I've heard of a few people doing this and the cops don't have to look any further than the emergency room to find the punks.
