Subject: TELL GOV TO VETO!
Date: Wed, 10 Oct 2001 21:20:38 -0700
Organization: Liberty Belles

Dear Liberty Belles and Beaux,

Unless Governor Davis issues a veto against AB35 and SB52 in the very Near future they will become law!  Time has almost run out.  Every effort must be made to stop the further infringement of our rights to keep and bear
arms.  Please call and fax a letter to Governor Davis today urging him to
veto AB35 and SB52.  Together we can make a difference.  Do not delay - act
today!

Sample letters, bill information, and voting records available at:

From page 3 The Firing LIne, Calif. Rifle & Pistol Assoc. opposes these bills because:
1)They are not a solution to a problem-Supporters have offered only speculation that the bills would do some based on their opinion not on fact.  The fact is the Calif. BFSC has not been shown to be inadequate, is NOT in need of replacement by the more costly and bureaucratic AB35 & SB52

2)Fee Increases Can't be Justified-Because the BFSC program does not need to be expanded.

3)Raid the Calif DROS fun for non-DROS activities)

4)Eliminate Exemptions for Military Vets & others

5)Current BFSC instructor must recerticfy
