Yes, indeed. A lot of the time when I'm at home and log on, I have my 4 year old granddaughter at my side and my fifteen month old grandson in my lap!

That's why it soooo important for folks to put up warnings for some posts!

My two sons (9 and 6) will stop by and take a look now and then while I'm at the computer, but most of the subjects are waaaay over their heads or are too adult (Babe of the Day, etc.). My 4 year old daughter will sometimes climb up and fall asleep on my shoulder while I'm looking at AR15.com. She thought the Photoshop/Kid with an AK thread was pretty funny.

"Daddy, look- the people in those pictures have guns like yours, too."

Yeah, my nine year old son is lying on the rug by the computer desk doing his math homework.

When he asks for help he wants to know what I'm laughing about on the screen.

Daughter does her homework here in about fifteen minutes.

Youngest daughter is already asleep.

You never know what your grandchildren are going to call you. It could be 'grandpa', 'gramps' (yuck), or something even worse. But, thankfully, my 4 year old just calls me 'Granddaddy', except she pronounces it like 'Granddaddeee' with the heaviest accent on the final syllable.  So now my other two grandchildren are gonna wind up calling me the same.

Thank God! I'd hate being known as 'PaPaw', or what my siblings and our cousins called my Father's Dad and Mom - 'GeePaw' and 'GeeMaw.'

That's gotta hurt!

My 5 year old will walk by and see the AR in the upper left corner, and start chanting AR....15, AR....15!  Or sometimes just points out the obvious "that's an AR-15".  I don't let him check out the "Babe of the day" posts, but most of the posts are text which bores him to death.

Eric,

It could be worse...they could call your mother "Mammy"!!....

It happened to my mother.  Fortunately the children in question belonged to my brother...whew...

"Mammy" got real busy changing that...

It was funny then and it's still funny now.

I've introduced my 15 yr old son and have requested information on scholarships the response was GREAT!  I think everyone of us should seek money for our child's education and lobby for more money to be made available for our future sharp shooters...

Next is my 8 yr old and then my 4 yr old.

yes my 7 yr old likes to watch me post here and likes to read what you guys have to say. He ask alot of questions though. I like the idea he wants to read and well this is a good place to start as long as I choose what thread he reads. ( not all threads intended for children, or I might have to answer some questions im not ready for yet )

Speaking of what to call grandparents, do ya'll remember the Chris Rock routine about that?

He said that all black women were saving up for either their sons' college money, or bail money. And he offered this simple test to see which (college or bail) would be applicable:

If you call your grandmother 'Mama', and your mother 'Charisse', she's saving up for bail money!
