Anyone ever tried these mags in a Sig Sauer p228?  Do they work?   Thanks

Mecgars are great. If you have the opportunity to get some hi cap Mecgars, do it.

Mecgar now makes the "factory" Sig mags, IIRC.

I've also used promag 13 rounders in my 228 without a problem

Not in a  Sig, but Meccar is best, they make alot of OEM magazines, I use Promag and they were all good

I've got a couple of MecGar hi-caps for my P-226 and they work great.

As a certified (or certifiable) hardware junkie, I have many Mecgars for many different handguns. Thus far, they are all flawless. Also, I regularly hang out at a half dozen different gun forums, and have never heard a discouraging word about Mecgars.

Promags SUCK!  A buddy of mine bought some for his P226 and they wouldn't work worth a darn.  Had the devil's own time getting Promag to make it right.  Mecgar actually makes Sig and Beretta's 'factory' mags.

I have a couple of mecgars for my P226 and they work great.  Also, I think the mags that came with my SIG245 looks like a mecgar.  Anyways, very good quality mags.  No experience with promags though...

What does "OEM" stand for?  I am thinking of buying a few "surplus OEM" mags for my Sig 226 at $17 a mag.  Price is good, but I know nothing of "OEM".  Thanks
