Are they sharp enough that you have to worry about cutting yourself? Or have they been ground down by use...

I should have mentioned.. they are PLOW discs welded together in-line with about a .250" air gap between the 3.
Havent used any "real" AP yet against it, but steel core 7.62X54r & SS109 wont phase it. |

Take some 30-06 Black Tip AP against that target.
And yes, I believe those hay bails will stop a .223 |

My older sister used to shoot at similar targets in front of a cornfield behind our house. The farmer did have problems with part of his crop being contaminated. I was about 6 years old at the time, so I don't remember the whole story, but there were issues with using corn as a backstop.

No contamination fears here, this entire crop is going to the ethanol plant so it can power your car someday.

Nice target!!!
You have to try a chunk of 3/4 in. thick steel beam! I got a piece off work and hung it at 100yards. The only thing that came close to going through was a 300 win mag.You got to let it swing or the bullets go right though. Here is a pic. The bales in this pic are 6 feet tall,6 feet thick & about 1200 pounds each. They will tumble & stop about anything.
I dont think id use one for cover if I had a choice, though !! |
