For my home defense shotgun i have a basic HD with a Wilson tube extension, side saddle and heat sheild.

It is reliable and looks great.

Am curious as to whether or not you guys are buying the 11-87 Police or not?

I am able to get a very deal on one and like I said.....I just wondered pros and cons???

If you can get a really good deal, jump on it. However, I think the Benelli M1 Super 90 is a far superior semiauto scattergun. Only problem with the Beneli is the price. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the 870 though as long as you have some shooting time on them to help avoid short stroking it in an emergency. And lots of cops rely on the 1187's too, proving its reliability,  so I guess it's down to preference/price.
