Brand new repro (nice, too) $100; real (be CAREFUL of convincing fakes!) $300 on up, depending on condition. Good ones are scarce.
BTW, only Inlands of a certain ser. no. range were made as original paras, although many others were arsenal converted later. The guys at [url]www.jouster.com[/url] can give you chapter and verse on the para stock. |

I'm not sure what exact prices they are fetching these days but the real original Inland ones are well over $1000. I've seen prices for original stocks $300-$500+.
The whole USGI M1 Carbine market has been skyrocketing lately. Keep in mind that you cannot put a new folding stock on any of the new manufacturers carbines as it would include 2 evil parts, a pistol grip and a folding stock. I had the chance to buy one a few years ago and laughed at the $750 price tag but wish I could find one today at any where near that price. |

Depends on what you want[;)] Original USGI Inland M1A1 can set you back over $1300 or so, depending on it's condition. All original USGI para stocks alone can run over $500 for a nice high wood example. If the "look" is the only thing your after and not originality, you can get Italian made repro stocks for around $125 or so.

Original Paratrooper M1 Carbines were NEVER select fire. They were semi only. Also they were all late war Inlands. Serial numbers will be in the 5million plus range. I recently sold a very original Inland para with original jump case. The gun and case were vet take home and in 98% condition. This brought $1500.00 REAL quick!

Gotcha. Never new that, but now that I think about it, I've never seen a movie where it was select fire. Thanx.
Still want one but damn they are expensive! |

Only variants of the M1 carbine that fired FA were the M2 and M3 models.

I have a late WW2 Winchester carbine. This one was converted to M2 carbine for the korean war and converted back to M1 when it came back to the US in the late 80's. It is 80% M2.
If you get a M1 Carbine, a few tips if I may... If it is a original WW2 carbine, replace all the springs. More so with the hammer spring, replace that with the 26 coil M2 spring and you will be good to go. enjoy! CB |
