Hunt them down then surgical strikes with bombs or bullets depending on target when ever and where ever they are found.  


 

Punish whith whatever means neccisary the countries that allow terrorosts to operate within their borders. If you make the punishment for these things strong enough there will be noplace for these people to operate from.

This lets us deal out justice on a wholesale rather than retail basis. We didn't indict individual Japanese pilots after Pearl Harbor. We declared Imperial Japan to be the enemy, and any member of the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces could be shot, bombed, or shelled on sight.

All members of the bin Laden umbrella organization are presumed to be deadly enemies, whether the participated in this attack or not. They are hunted down and exterminated.

What makes them deadly is both the people and the organization, so the organization has to be eliminated as well. There may be some fanatic bastards left out there when we're done, but they shouldn't have an organization to help them achieve their ends.

Traditionally they are sheltered behind national lines. This can't happen any more. Where ever they are, they will be tracked down and killed. Any nation that shelters them will be assumed to be in league with them, and treated in a similar manner.

In any situation like this, you absolutely must have spies inside the organization ratting them out.  You can then start thinking about military strikes, assassinations, etc.  Whoever said you can't kill a belief was absolutely correct.  With the proper intelligence, you can drive the believers far enough underground that they no longer present a serious threat.  It requires a good deal of ruthlessness.  For examples, study how the Brits dealt with the Thugee cult, the Nazis dealt with partisans, and the Soviets dealt with dissident organizations.  I hasten to add that I don't want us to become like the Nazis or Soviets, I am simply stating that when you are trying to deal with amorphous terrorist cells, you don't win by playing nice.  Their people can be "turned" lots of ways...bribery, terror, fear for safety of their own loved ones, etc.

Going after terrorists is like finding a needle in a haystack.  Forget the needle, burn the haystack.

Identifying and neutralizing the enablers of terrorism are more important issues than neutralizing terrorists themselves.  The challenging issue seems how to minimalize "collateral damage" while depriving terrorist organizations the resources required to operate.

Send the Democrats over to govern them.

Money. You've got to cut off the source of money. You can't do very much if you don't have the bucks to buy the hardware and feed your fellow terrorists.

If Omar has 300 million, where does he keep it? I don't think it's in a large sack under his bed.

Find it, freeze it or use it to pay for damages. Without the bucks, I don't think he would last very long.

The more I look at this the worse I feel.  This could end up being a political game without any resolve.  This crap with France is just the first.  It is all fine and good for us to give and support but in the reverse oh I am sorry but.  To all of you Israel haters they are are biggest of our allies on this right now.  This is common place for them they are attached everyday like this.  Look at there reaction, kill back and take as many as possible.  Same thing applies here.  Set it go after them all.  Don't stop don't count the bodies just keep going until they realize it is over.  If you come to my house and hurt my kid, I would not hesitate to kill you to defend my family.  The same should apply here.  The approach should be a little different but the result the same.

The best solution that I can think of is for every one of us to be alert.  There are many organizations that wish to hurt the US.  

Bin Laden has the most press - but there are several groups already in this country.  The groups that protested the WTO are not against violence.

There are also elements that use this as an excuse to justify violence on specific races, etc.  We must NOT allow this.

We must support our local Law Enforcement and Emergency Service workers.  There will be more attacks - unless we all work together to prevent them.

This is not an excuse to be paranoid or vigilantes.  This is a challenge to be strong!

Getting a list of all known terrorist, start at the front, work our way to the back, KILLING EVERONE.  I mean what doesn't it matter if they aren't involved in this attack.  If they're a known terrorist they need to be dead.

Just an idea

Promise anyone in Afganistan a billion dollars, US citizenship, a new identity and a armed escort out of the country if they give us the location of these people and it leads to there destruction.

Attack what they value, what they are fighting for. Whatevery they are hoping to forward or protect by their actions, destroy it. And do not allow them to hide.  If they take hostages, kill the hostages, if they hide behind women and children, go right through them. Leave behind pleanty of notice of why you did this, and what people can do to avoid it happening again. Above all, be consistant in your actions.
