From your observations of others at the range, which of the following statements is closest to the truth:
1. Nearly all shooters go to great lengths to make sure they keep their configuration legal ("evil features", U.S. parts count on AK's, etc).
2. Most people don't really give a fig about all those details and no one ever gets busted for stuff like that.
Reason I ask is, I was on a plane with a guy and since I was reading Shotgun News, we got to talking about guns. He has an AR-15 and he was telling me he put a collapsable stock on it. I said, "hey, be careful" and he said basically no one really cares about stuff like that.
