I know that road, lived near Victorville for 3 years (GAFB) and in Pasadena (JPL) for 1 year.  20 years ago.
But I drove it in a Firdbird with a '69 400 goat engine with enough horse to fly up hill.

Be safe looks like you still have a long way home.

Yeah, everyone was getting blown all over. It sucked, especially for me as I'm only carrying 20,000 lbs

I seen that on the evening news, it just barely missed hitting a news van that was reporting on the fires.

We have half of a modular home at our impound lot. The driver went off route, went thru the middle of downtown Indy. Took the peak of the roof right off and made a hella mess. The bad news is, the driver was an owner operator with no insurance, and has since disappeared. The home owners are screwed.

What is amazing is how strong those homes are.  None of the homes being built on site could keep their shape while laying on their side.

I've seen some that did it and turned into toothpics.  You can bet that one went over very gently.

There used to be an unsupervised shooting range at Lytle creek near I-15. We once took a TV and dishwasher for perforation service there.
