that whoever did this didn't really think it would go over as well as it did?
I mean , do you think they really thought they would really be able to take down both towers? And hit the Pentagon?

Or do you think its more likely they had 3-4 or even more plans set in motion thinking they would at least accomplish one form of terrorism on US soil. Maybe one plane might reach its target but surely not three planes.

At first when the planes hit the towers there were reports of people coming forward claiming responsibility but suddenly when the reality of the damage done was as extreme as it was, nobody is  quick to claim responsibility. Maybe they're thinking things went a little beyond what they had expected.

I don't mean to suggest that they're losing much sleep but they are certainly not doing any press conferances.
