I was wondering if anyone knew what was the RIFLE that AL PACINO was using in the bank robery scene. I appeared to by using USGI magazines, but the charging handle was somewhat vertical, and I didn't recognize the receiver or anything. The forward handgrips were nice looking, a sleek looking rifle that I wouldn't mind having. Could ANYONE give me some info on this rifle? My brother (AN LEO) saw it, and said, "I just HAVE TO BUY ONE!"

This would be a GREAT help to me... Thank you!

I believe it was an FN FNC, but I may be mistaken, it's been a long time since I've seen the movie.

With the risk of running a echo it was a FN FNC.
Nice gun but IMHO not as user friendly or upgradable
as the
M16/M-4 platform.Still would'nt mind having one
but I would prefer having DeNiro's CAR-15 first!

It looks like the front end was chopped down a little, or, possibly a LEO import (shorter than 16" BBL).

These two are an 18" and a 16" for comparison:

I have always thought i might have been a Model 7030 Law Enforcement Rifle, a LE version of the military FN FNC. Would make sense that it would have been only semi in LE use and Pacino uses it on semi only.

The normal FN FNC barrel is 449mm(17.6") and the short one is 363mm(14.29"), the Model 7030 has the shorter barrel.

Great looking rifles! I'd love to own one.

It's funny because I must of watched that bank
robbery scene 20 times on my DVD trying to figure out what Pacino was carrying.
At first I thought it was a Daewoo then the guys on the forum here came through and nailed it.
