Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - preban Bushmaster M4 equivalent?

What is the M4 equivalent of a Bushmaster preban? I don't even know if there is one, but I'm thinking that would be my next rifle of choice. I know of the Colt Gov. series, but I don't want to pay for the label, I'd rather sock my dollars into quality and get it at a better price. Yehknow? So is this thing a production model or do I have to build one?

No company made true M4-style ARs before the ban.  To get one, you'd have to build it on a pre-ban lower.
