Unlike wives, guns don't get upset if you bring another one home. I say lay it away and start skipping lunch!

If you can, try shooting the Walther... if you can shoot better with it I think it would be a better choice as a carry weapon. I have shot the 9mm & .40 S&W versions - I liked them both!

Go ahead and get the Walther P99. Your Glock wouldn't mind.

i reload and .40 is not an option for me. i've heard to many problems with reloading .40 with used brass. I shoot alot and new ammo would break me. that's why if i got p99 it would be the 9mm.

Yesterday you bad mouthed my beloved M1A and now you are starting on the 40 S&W cartridge. You are really busting my balls Mike! I shoot thousands of 40's each year through either an HK USP or my Glock 23 and have never had a problem, even loading on the hot side. I have reloaded cases as much as 6 times but as I work at a range I'm reloading only 4 times now due to the availability. This is not to say that there is any thing wrong with a 9mm though.

If it was any other pistol, I'd say go for it.. but you stated you "love the G30." Why in the hell would ya wanna get rid of it?? I wouldn't.. In case you are serious, I'm in the market for a G30 [:D] but have a lead on one locally. If you really want the Walther, sweet talk the better half and save for it to keep the G30 company.

As for reloading 40  S&W, Glocks have virtually no support at the breech. Sometimes you can get a bulge there. Also your die might not resize all the way down, so the buldge might not be put back to specs.

Man if it fits get it thats the thing youreally need out of your gun, any gun will shoot but how much do you like yours?

I like the P-99s I had one in 40S&W don't like 40 but love the gun.
And hell if you don't like it you will have no trouble getting rid of it.

What the hell is a ferret???

You're not talking about one of those little weasel things are you???

But anyway, I have a three 9s (Hi Power, Taurus PT-92, and Ruger P89). I love all three of them and they are all very reliable. But on the other hand,,, my favorite is my HK USP40. It feels good and shoots great. I, unlike others, like the trigger pull and think the recoil is acceptable.

I have had some problems with reloads in the USP though. I originally thought it was the gun but then I changed over to factory loads for a while and the operation was flawless. I found a different source for reloads after that.

I still think the 40 is a equivelent round to either the 9 or 45,,, maybe even superior. It's certainly good enough to do the job anyway.

Ask your wife if you can have your balls back.[:D] Whatever she says, keep the Glock. No sense in getting rid of a gun that you know you like for one that you might like better.

I don't get it- you can only shoot the ferret once, you can shoot the other two for years and years [:D]
