Used to be...until the ex left last summer, and I got a REAL job.  In two months, I lost 40 lbs., and that's a lot on a 5'4" frame.  Went from 36" waist down to 31".  Right now, I've leveled off at 150.

Not any more - I'm 44, I was 250 lbs, 5' 10", huffing and puffing to get up stairs and get out of the car. More chins than a Chinese phone book. Huge T-shirts and pants- so big, I thought my tailor was Omar the Tentmaker. Not happy.

So....I joined Weight Watchers in April and have since lost 47 pounds.
Now I exercise more, feel better and life's a lot better in general. I eat better, too, and don't need all the junk I was eating before. Oof! Will be down to 170 lbs by early next year- best weight for 5' 10", for health, etc.

People I haven't seen in a while don't even recognise me any more (Is that you??) and women are suddenly VERY friendly.... >:^D

Bottom line (no pun intended): if you're a lardass, it's your own damn fault. Nothing more laughable that a middle-aged, doughy white guy with a huge gut.

Unfortunately that is the media's image of MOST gun owners in this country.....

Not a lardass at all... 5'8", 180... I could use a few more laps on the track cuz I get winded easier that when I was in the service, now that nobody's kicking my ass to go running anymore.

For those of you who stay fit, what type of regimen do you use?

6'-6" 220. I look like I am 240 or so. I cant understand it. I lift weights a lot and can bench press well over my body weight. However I broke my leg three months ago and I am still not back to work it was pretty bad. Perhaps I lost some mussle from my legs.

Not yet, but by God I'm working on it!  Drink too much beer is what the wife says, 5'9" and about 155lbs.  Now some would say that ain't too bad, problem is my gut keeps getting bigger.  Might have to do something about it pretty soon though, as I don't much care for it myself.(Nah!)

6'0" 250 lbs. Typical right wing extremist gun owner. Every time I see some do-gooder talking about eating brussel sprouts & reducing fat intake, etc. etc. It makes me want to go buy a 16 oz. ribeye. Kind of like gun grabbers, every time they start up I go buy another gun.[moon]

6'0 and 180lbs. So far, so good. If I didn't play sports so much, I'd be in big trouble. I don't eat right- basically red meat and beer.
