I recently leased part of our building to a guy who is going to put in an adult video & book store.  When the business license came out in the newspaper they sent a reporter to interview me.  The gist of what I told them is that the guy is in a legally permitted business and who am I to deny him his liberty.  I pointed out that around the corner from us is a video store that has an adult sections that kids can sneak into and that in this store no one under 18 is allowed to enter.  I also stated that the guy has been doing business in town for years as a wholesaler to local convenient stores.  Now I am beginning to take heat in the Editorial Page.  A couple attacked me in tonight's paper saying basically that I was the antichrist.  I am sure there is more to come.

Don't cave in to these neo-nazis. All the flak will go away in short order.

Rights aren't very important to people when the right being exercised runs to the antethisis of their beliefs.
Look at the support for "Hate Speech" laws!
Though none exist, one day, they surely will.
Under the guise of protecting the feelings of those they offend, hate speech laws, anti-porn laws, and other laws like those meant to limit Methamphetimine Lab Proliferation via censoring the data needed will sweep our rights.
While the rights they protect may not be popular, they are none the less rights.
Americans need to realize that this country never promised to protect you from being offended.
A Christian has just as much right to pray as the athiest has the right to call him a fool.
A racist has just as much right to use whatever coloqilisms for minorities he chooses, just as people have the right to immediatley call him a redneck.
And a pornographer has just as much right to sell porn to consenting adults, as people have the right to lambast you for allowing him.
Just as you have the right to remind those castigating you that he is within his rights.

Freedom Freedom Freedom is what many people preach, so long as it is fenced within their particular line of thinking.
And when you fence in freedom, it ain't freedom no more.
