im not sure... but theres a local band here  ive seen play alot of times, and i have their CD from one of their shows at the bar, they play a heavy metal version of "like a virgin"  WHICH ACTUALLY ROCKS!  its catchy too.  www.slowchildren.net  i heard a quote one time about 80s music, and new bands re-doing the songs- "write a song and in 20 years someone will make it cool"  which is what they did with that song.

Not to be a nitpicker but it was Tarantino was Mr Brown, the one going on about "Like A Virgin".  Steve Buscemi was Mr Pink, the one who didn't tip.

Ahhh, haven't read the script-just going by the movie.
Reading the trivia bits on the IMDB it seems Tarantino was going to play Mr Pink so it makes sense.

Funny how times change. When that album came out, I thought she looked like a slut. I was still a virgin myself. Now I look at her and short of the 80's style of dress,I'm thinking, yeah,I'd hit that.

Madonna told Tarantino it's just about love.  I like Tarantino's weird-ass takes on things like that, and his monologue about Top Gun in some other movie.
