OH man, you suck [>(] !! I have always wanted a shop at my house. I was a tool and die maker when I was younger. We made a lot of carbide form tools and prototypes. I did a lot of different types of grinding there too. I also worked as a blow/injection mold maker for a year or so. I miss that kind of work, it was very rewarding to me. Just one thing I don't miss is the production shop I worked when I was an apprentice, I made these parts from 1/4" stainless round stock, they were 3 1/2" long, 1/4 20 threads on one end and the other end turned down and end drilled with a .062 drill. I must have made 10,000 of those DAM THINGS from beginning to end!!!![>Q] [whacko]

If you ever happen to travel through Prescott, AZ, try to visit Fred Wells' shop - there's a messy shop for you. He even has a dune buggy hanging from the ceiling in his barrel shop!!
He also makes [b]HUGE[/b] .50cal Mauser-type actions on his Bridgeport mill! |

Specialize in 300 series stainless & 6061T6 Aluminum trinkets for firearms,race cars, & RCs like the T-MAXX. Also work more exotic alloys like alloy 20,Hastalloy, 17-4h1075,ETC..... I posted a pic of one unfinished abomination on BIYS board Yesterday, and I am currently working on a .50 Q-2 The booming Metropolis of Tama. Hey, dont knock the hubcap, Its off a Vette ( I think )Oh who cares, its got those cool flags on it. |
