well, it's too late now but i think your quotation marks are fucked up.
other than that, it's a beautiful commemorative coin (not much to do with snipers though)! |
|
Not too late to change the punctuation.
How so on the not much to do with snipers comment? Respectfully, BK |
|
I think its just fine. The snipers web address is more than enough. Look forward to getting one. |

other than the address, the coin seems more dedicated to ALL our guys and gals in uniform who have given their lives to our country or been wounded in service to our country, which would incl snipers, of course, but it's not specifically sniper oriented. on the quotes, the first mark is upside down. but if you're doing the nesting quotes, isn't the first one right side up and the closing upside down? i think your coin guy will know the protocol for that! my comments are trivial matters, the design (and thought behind it) are truly outstanding and powerful. |

Thanks guys. Punctuation changed. Was a font issue with graphics folk ...

Will have them done by SHOT SHOW ladies and gents ... Sometime before Feb 8.
Thought behind the design: Almost every troop over there wears that same uniform/helmet. Many "folks" carry a black rifle. If the sniper himself does not fit the above criterion, the people he provides overwatch for certainly do. We originally went with a similiar memorial service that had a ghillie top/SWS. But many do not even know what that is and the image was not as conducive for a coin design as this one. This one however, requires no explanation and we especially (11 Cops, 2 Soldiers, 1 Marine and 1 SEAL) thought it was a powerful image. We think they came out nice. Hopefully we can raise some cash/gear for the boys in the shiite. We have entire squads of the 101st Abn. using M14s. Some of their stocks are held together with 100 mph tape. Some have NO mags ... many have no mounts, no optics ... and they are STILL getting it done every day. I just do not have the words to describe how proud I am of my countrymen including the guys working this project with me. Incredible people. God bless them. America ... just friggin' rocks. Always has. Always will. Best, BK AmericanSnipers.org |

You betcha.......will advise in this thread when they're available. Stay tuned....... VJ |

I encourage you to ask a mod/satff member to tack it when you offer them,so the thread does not disappear from page 1. Edward (Avila-yes,there are 2 of us) is very much in support of this effort, and would be pleased to see you set aside a few of these coins for sale to our members when available. We will stop by your booth at ShotShow, and chat with you fellows again this year. |

We certainly appreicate all that AR15.com has done to assist us in our endeavor. From tacking announcements to letting us throw these threads up....... you've been a great help. A large portion of the last edition coin was sold to ARFcommers.....I think that will remain consistent this time around too. When these become available, I'll hit up Aimless to tack it.....thanks! By all means, stop by the booth again this year..... we're in the same location, but with a different booth number, LE #478. Thank you for your continued support, Vaughn |

Hey guys,
The coins are being made at the current time....... Honestly, it is a coin flip (no pun intended) whether they'll be available in time to order them prior to the SHOT show in Las Vegas. IF you're coming to SHOT, we're at booth #478 in the LE/MIL section ..... say hello, buy a coin....or a shirt.....or a sticker.....or a bracelet.....or dog tag......or lapel pin.......LOL....... Thanks for your continued support, Vaughn AmericanSnipers.org |
