WHEN DID THE MILITARY START USING THEM IN THE M16 MAGS. ANYBODY KNOW ?

I was in 92-96 Army Infantry, and can't recall ever having seen a single mag with them.  However, I was never issued brand new mags, all of mine had seen some use.

KMA - check out Troy's excellent magazine FAQ in the magazine forum.  As I recall, the green followers became Mil-Spec around 1988.
