I know I'm going to get bashed for this but a local sporting goods store are running a good deal on these this weekend and I need to know if they are a good reliable firearm for concealed carry? Are there any forums that discuss S&W firearms?

Politics aside, Smith's are good guns. They do what they are supposed to do. The Chief's Special looks like a neat package. If you like the way it feels and carries, do it.
