Looks a lot smaller than 40mm.  

Just a guess, but a Russian 30mm auto GL (I think it's called the AGS-17)???

What is a civilian SF unit?  Like an LE special unit, or more like militia?

I wish we had civilian SF, I guess we do have tactical mall ninja operators, that's close enough.

It is a 50 cal, remember a 50 cal is 12.7 mm, 25.4mm to the inch, so a 40mm is 1.57" wide.

i sure wouldnt be calling the isreali military/police keystone coppers, they are fierce fighters and kick a lot of ass.

true there style of pistol shooting is different that our western ways, and almost looks silly and useless (and maybe it is in our minds0, but thats the way they do things there and have there reasons for it.
it wasnt too long ago that US PD's were teaching their officers to bend there knees while shooting a pistol, just not as drastic.

the IDF might even say the US ways of combat shooting is wrong, and from a russian video i have a former spetsnatz says the US does it wrong also. where IMO both the spetsnatz and IDF have flaws in there combat shooting skills.

the IDF teachs to carry a pistol with empty chamber and mag loaded, safety off. to draw they squat down (dont remember the reason why), draw the pistol, bring it to there chest, left hand grabs the slide of the pistol, right hand pushs pistol forward to target and racking the slide, left hand comes froward to create a 2 handed grip.
the western ways obviously think its silly to go through so many steps and to even start with a gun that has an empty chamber. but if you carry in condition 3(?) then its pretty fast.

This is in responce to the guy with the machine gun.  It is a M-2 Browning .50 cal. It has the belt flipped over the reciever. If I was to to go to war with this guy, I would shoot him first. His machine gun would jam on thhe first round.

Yup...I'll bet it's a Ma Deuce.  One each .50 caliber BMG.  Easy to see...but I am curious as to why he has the belt up and over the weapon.
The King of machine guns.  My dad used one in the '40s, I used one in the '60s-'80s, my son used one in the '90s, and they are still part of most combat units.  Now that is a testament to a fine weapon.  Imagine the rifles that been standard issue in the United States armed forces since the .50 BMG was introduced:
-M1903/A3
-M1 Garand
-M1 Carbine
-M14
-M16

It looks like as Ken pointed out it is either a reversed negative or they switched the weapon to right hand feed and left hand cocking.  May be there isn't room for an ammo can on the feed side of the weapon.

I'm thinking that they're trying for a "crouch" type firing position.  The Army's own Field Manual covering pistol & revolver training (FM 23-35, Oct 88) has this about crouch firing:

"Crouch Position.  Use the crouch position when surprise targets are engaged at close range (it refers to a pic in the book).  Place the body in a forward crouch (boxer's stance) with the knees bent slightly and trunk bent forward from the hips to give faster recovery from recoil.  Place the feet naturally in a position that allows another step toward the target.  Extend the weapon straight toward the target, and lock the wrist and elbow of the firing arm.  It is important to consistently train with this position, [b]since the body will automatically crouch under conditions of stress such as combat."[/b]  FM 23-35, Chapter 2, paragraph 2-8(d.).

It looks as though the weapon isn't loaded and he has the belt draped over the top where he can get it quickly.
