Attended a fund raiser for local charity and they had a silent auction to raise $$$.
Well I kept bidding on and WON the --Spend a day with SWAT.

Tommorrow is the big day... I am keyed up.
One of the question when they interviewed me was:

" Are you OK with being around firearms?"

I felt like saying the only time I am not OK is when I am not around firearms.

Well they said I would have a great time. Sit in on tactical discussions the most of the day at field range shooting various weapons. ( not sure what that means)

Hope it is a good day ( any day at range with free ammo, got's to be a good day!!)

my experince with swat team is that a lot of 'em are just wannabe's... (I know that doesnt speak for ALL swat peeps)

When I was a Explorer we got to do stuff with the TAAC team, They were all very down to earth and all around cool guys. They weren't arrogant or cocky, VERY proffesional IMO. Got to play with some neat stuff too

I had a blast !! got to shoot all the weapons, spent the entire day blasting targets.
it is me in black pants and dark stripe polo shirt

MP5

G 36

Glock 31

Remington 700 sniper rifle
The team was very professional and took a great interest in making sure I learned about the weapons and the proper proceedures. It was a great day with a great group of LEO.

Full Auto --empty the mags !!!!!

It was a blast, thanks to all the professional officers on this team.

If they let you play the hostage taker for training, attack the SWAT team!

Use the hostage as a shield and come out shooting instead of waiting for them. They won't expect it.

All the toys stayed , I asked several times if anyone wanted me to store their weapons,
but the question went over " like a fart in church." everyone politely ignored it!!!!

Pimped out ARs are ridiculous. An AR is a working gun; other than a good sling, a quality white light, the rest is all fluff. Some of the pics of tricked out rifles that i have seen posted here have taken it wayyyyyyy to the extreme.
