Well.....the cannisters were usually sent empty and filled either while on the aircraft or shortly before use. They should be a s safe as any empty tank.

Some of you old guys need to put your glasses on before you get your panties in a wad. It clearly says "INERT" in the top picture right above the arming instructions.
It would be fun to reactive two of these and use them as pontoons for one really big pipe bomb though. Michael |
