Terrance Gainer, Executive Assistant Chief of the Washington Metropolitan Police, says that Rep. Gary Condit is not a suspect, but everyone else is.

What makes me think either they have him nailed and are playing him along, or they are treating him with kid gloves because he is a Pol?

Headline on my local news right now.

Condit admitted having an affair with Chandra Levy to the police during an interview. No details.

I've said all along that I didn't think he did it. It sure looked really bad, even though he was fully cooperating with the police, and had met with the missing girls parents. Yes, he lawyered up, but so would you or I.

I still don't think he murdered her, or had anything to do with her disappearance.

The wife, however, looks more and more interesting.

The thing is Mrs. Condit, from the pictures I have seen, doesn't strike me as the kind of woman who even cleans her own house. I think we are looking at a professional disappearance and the wife was the one who put out the contract..

Back when Kathy Smith's (I believe that was her name) children were missing the police was saying she wasn't a suspect also, right up to the day they arrested her.

I saw the interview and it was obvious to me they aren't showing all their cards, and are playing them close to the vest.

Depends on who is doing the disposing, we do it, jail time, if a Pol does it, well, for the good of the nation, National Security (who wants him yelling out national secrets as he is getting his butt reamed by Bruno, his cellmate?) we have to let the matter drop.

Seems fair to me.

One thing you might want to keep in mind...Gary Condit is a member of the Blue Dog Democrats...the current leader of the twelve or so Blue Dogs...who consistently vote in agreement with most of the principles and details we hold most dear. He's not my Representative, Ralph Hall Texas Congressional District 4 is. Rep. Hall is a Blue Dog too and this small band of Conservative Democrats keeps the ultra liberal Democratic National Party from enacting more of their socialist agenda than would otherwise be possible. It's no wonder the national media is attacking Condit. Or that Barbara Boxer, Schumer, Feinstein et al are attacking and undermining him.
I'm not implying Condit is innocent or not, just pointing out he's been a gunowner's friend for a long time.

Theory #1
Chandra called Condit to tell him the big news. He meets her outside of her place, and she gets in his car. They drive around, and Chandra tells Condit she is pregnant with his love child and he must leave his wife to marry her and live happily ever after. There is a struggle and he kills her. He then calls an old CIA buddy to help dispose of the body. He goes about his business and pretends nothing is wrong. Condit calls the stewardess to tell her they have to cool it. Then, deny, deny, deny....

Theory #2
The wife is in town for the week. Going thru Condits papers she discovers Chandra's address. She stakes out Chandra's apartment and watches Condit walk out zipping up his pants. She goes to the door to confront Chandra. There is an argument, and the wife hits Chandra on the back of the head with a candle stick. She calls Condit to tell him she disposed of his sex toy. Condit then calls an old Klinton Secret Service buddy to dispose of the body. He forces the wife to stay quiet (for the children). Deny everything...

At the very least he lied and didn't tell investigators what may have been valuable information in the first few days they were trying to locate the woman.

Well after being called a incompetant, and likend to the Keystone Kops on national news, the Washington Police Chief has changed his mind and suddenly Condit is a suspect. They are searching his apartment for trace evidence now, he is being asked for a blood sample for DNA, and they are looking for the kinky sex toys that the flight attendant mentioned.

However they are covering themselves by saying that everyone is still a suspect, and they arent singling out any one person. [rolleyes]

Well, Condit has had enough time to feed Chandra down his garbage disposal a teaspoonful at a time. And enough time to clean up the trace evidence. But non-professional killers generally f*** it up, so hopefully he missed something, and forensics will come up with some concrete evidence of his guilt...not holding my breath on that one tho....
