Stroh's sold all of their brand names to PBR and Miller a couple years ago. A Stroh's is no longer really a Stroh's. I do drink a couple different imports (Molson Golden and Bass Ale) on occasion, for taste not status. But then I drink expresso now and then. Because I like it. Heinekin is downright nasty.
Almost no brewery ships out in refrigerated trucks, [b]with the exception of kegs[/b]. After beer leaves the cellars to be bottled it is pasturized in the bottles or cans and kept at ambient, until it is sold. Kegs are not pasturized and must be kept cold. Coors does use cold trucks, if I remember right. But that company is anti-gun. |

If you like the taste of colored water then
by all means drink any of those "Top 12 ranking DOMESTIC LAGERS". Good domestic beers aren't produced in the quantities allowing them to appear on such list. As far as mass produced beer is concerned; Imports only! |

Hi everyone. This is my first AR15 post as I have suddenly been "banned" from Glocktalk. I am not sure how that happened (I haven't posted but a few times and that was about six months back), but I don't feel its worth the time or effort to straighten it out.
Anyway - I didn't know Coors was anti-gun. I specifically went to Coors because it was the only domestic non-union made beer. I figured by buying union made beer I was effectively helping to elect anti-gunners. So now I guess it's micro's and imports exclusively... |

Once you have a good Pale Ale, you'll set the glass down, think for a second, pick up the glass for another sip, set the glass down again, proceed to think for another few seconds...and then decide it's the best tasting beer in the world. I bought a long-sleeved shirt from one (now out-of-business) microbrewy/restaurant in Mobile, AL simply because I loved their Pale Ale. Mmmmmm....Good Stuff! Talk about being overpaid. That's what Unions are for. Why else would someone belong to one? I'm sure there are many union members on this site that will extol the virtues of a union job. I'm sorry if I offended any of you. But I just loathe unions. I take great pride in knowing I played a key role in the rejection to Unionize at my last job. [puke] |

Unions, like communism, are good in theory and initial establishment. However, in practice, they are prone to becoming a tyranical and overbearing entity.
Of course, not all contemporary unions are necessarily bad, but some just downright set a bad example of what a union should be. Instead of "fair worker treatment", "overpay us or we strike" is a common attitude taken by some in the blue-collar field. I'm not sure if geography plays a part or not, but nonetheless $20/hour for bottling beer on a line seems a bit too much for a fairly non trade-skill job. I guess I'm biased because I just don't remember Laverne and Shirley living the good life [:\] [brown]Evil Jewbroni~[/brown] |

To each his own.
No one is right or wrong on this issue. I prefer commercially produced domestic lagers, most of my friends drink micro-brewery produced beers. Some like ales, some stouts, etc. We don't have to agree on any of this. |

CR is Consumer Reports.
Craft lager is a reference to the origin of the particular beer as coming from a small brewery. Usually incorrect. Craft lager is, however, brewed in smaller batches. As an example, Samual Adams is a "craft lager" which might imply some time and effort, along with handselected ingredients, have gone into the making of this beer. Samuel Adams is brewed in Washington state at a Miller brewery. |

Strohs was origanally made here in Detroit. around here we have another name for it. Mule Piss or was it Bilge Water. I forgot which it was, Black Label Strohs its all the same. I prefer Labatts myself. I really dont think its an imported beer here. To tell you truth most beers that are labeled imported are really not imported, read the label it ussually says brewed and bottled right here in the U.S. .For instance if you buy Bud they say its imported but when you read the label it say brewed and bottled by John Labatt inc.
