Gotta get a cam system for the drones figured out. Target's eye view during the night shoot with the Mini-Guns blazing tracers oughtta be sweet!

Lemme talk to Winston Wolf and Topcrest ( should I say, the former Topcrest....he was banned ) and see what I can come up with.  I was thinkng that using an IR laser co-axially mounted along the focal point of the camera would be a good way of tracking what the camera sees.  With NVG ( tons of folks have them around here ) you could see where the camera is looking and adjust your flight path accordingly.

I don't think a laser would be needed! I was just gonna set it to shoot out over the wing tip. My main concern is surviveability. Most of the downed targets went down because of a holed fuel tank or cut fuel line. These thing soaked up a TON of abuse and most are still flyable. The main killer was when the motor mount got ripped out while trying to dead stick them in. Although one shooter on a minigun did manage to completely destroy one. A relatively small target moving in three dimensions at a fair rate of speed is pretty tough to hit!
