Actually they are not invalidating ALL of DC's gun laws.

Restrictions on carry permits and NFA firearms would remain.

The big thing they wanted passed is loaded guns in the home for self defense.

Just like holy wars some Americans just don't get it!  Criminals will carry a gun and don't care about the law.  People will kill themselves for their god.  Sometimes, I can't figure out how average Americans have an IQ of 104?  Brains, but no common sense?
