While surfing the channels I came across Animal Planet. It is showing N.Y. City ASPCA Special Agents that enforce animal cruelty laws. They are armed and appear to be equipped like standard LEO's.

They may save the NYPD from having to handle many animal related calls but think about the ASPCA with guns or PETA members with guns and you are out hunting?

Maybe that is a bit far-fetched but where does it stop. Not sure how the ASPCA and law enforcement can mix.
