You all know those guys in HollyWood who robbed a bank and got into a shoot out with police. They were all decked out with full auto guns and heavy, heavy body armor. How much would body armor like that cost?

The armor issued by my department looks very similar to the armor those thugs were wearing and goes for about $850.00 for the tactical vest only.

The higher the threat level the more they cost, and the heavyer they get.

Damn full body armor probably will run someone a few thousand.

And, assuming it's soft body armor and not plates, a rifle will zip right through it anyway. If the first cops on the scene had had AR-15's, we would never have heard of the incident since they would have ended it right then and there.

Didn't any of those cops in Hollywood at least have a few rounds of 12 ga. slugs for their shotguns?

NO Willie Williams had ordered slugs withdrawn from the field. Dont quite know why.
