Congrats, Please post after you shoot it and tell me how that trigger feels compared to similar beasts. I`ve had my eye on that since I held one. It fits real nice and I like the hand bore axis thingy.

The pistol Shoots very nice. I bought it at the recommendation of a friend of mine who is a Glockaholic. This was his solution to me not spending all the loot on an HK USP Compact .45. I must thank him for that.

We met each other at the range/shop when I bought this pistol (my first). He brought his Glock 22. I am an avid long gunner and own several AR15s, but I am a neophyte to handgunning (new, but experianced enough to know a few things). Anyway, from a fresh perspective, comparing the Steyr to the Glock:

1. The Glock is lighter but the grip is too fat and clunky. This grip on the Glock is nice if you are accustomed to it, but apples to apples, the steyr is nicer feeling. The Steyr has nice balance and fits real nice in my hand; much more comfortable.

2. The Steyr has much less recoil and more ccontrolable. You can cite the uses of recoil and how to control it, but the point is that the steyr is more friendly to shoot.

3. The Glock has greater magazine capacity, but who cares. If I can't get you 10 (12 in LEO) with the Steyr, I can't get you in 15 wit hthe Glock.

Bottom line, I am glad that I bought this pistol and I am looking forward to getting more familiar with it. It is the pistol that I have been loking for all of these years!

Can't ever go wrong with Steyr. They make some of the finest weapons in the world. I'd trust anything from them. Can't wait to get one of the new pistols myself.....have fun!
