By the way,the info on the OSHP testing for a new service pistol is in an article in the latest Shotgun News. Check it out, very interesting reading. Oh, and we've been known to house aliens on our air bases around here[:D] Now I want a Sig in .45acp! |

Yes, but Waldo's favorite, the "Grock" M22 came in 4th, beating the likes of the HK USP 45C and Sig P220, which did not finish at all! Even the questionable S&W Sigma 40F finished 6th! Anyone interested, its on page 10 of the Shotgun news. All these guns were fired 12.000 rounds (all 17 of 'em) Hey! Ohio is round on both ends and hi in the middle!

Hey you Flat Earthers, I didn't post anything except the test results. I didn't say one gun was better than the other. Why the Glock Cultists have to run to defend them is way beyond me. What do you care? Maybe if you go to Smyrna and tell them how staunchly you defended their product they'll give a beenie copter with a Glock Logo to wear while you're at the range. If someone were to come here and say "Bushmasters or Colts, or AR kit guns suck" it wouldn't mean a thing to me. I just did it to pull all the Flat Earthers out of hiding [:E] You all are really too easy. |

Waldo, I know how you feel(ka-boom wise)about the M-22, and agree. I feel you should be able to fire anything, including lead, without having to wear a helmet and flak vest! And I also know when there is any Glock post, you will be there. (ever notice in glock message boards they are all left handed?) hmmmm Anyway I am surprised the Ruger P-94DAO DNF, I wish they would have explained the DNFs. Dont wake up crabby, let her sleep in...

According to what I read, DNF means the firearm experienced more than 36 malfunctions. But then they didn't call the Glock 21 a DNF and it suffered 45 malfunctions during the testing [?] |

If they do buy SIGs, they need to make sure they get the newer stainless slides like the P229s have.
I carry SIGs and a Glock daily. I like both, though the SIGs took some getting used to as I had carried Glocks for a few years prior. My only complaint about the SIG is their horrible tendency to rust, at least on the older weapons. Carry an older SIG in the rain. If you do not PROMPTLY wipe it down as soon as you get somewhere dry, it will rust up. The newer P229s with the blued stainless slides do not seem to have this problem. We use P220s for tactical stuff. At training or call-outs, the first thing everyone does is wipe all of the extra oil off of their P220s, because if it is not covered in oil before it goes in the case in the trunk of your car, it will be covered in rust when you take it out. Never seen rust on a Glock. The SIGs shoot fine though. As a side note, I always shoot a higher score with my subcompact Glock back-up gun than with my SIG duty gun. Weird. |

I don't know how long ago this test was done. I remember seeing Troopers carrying them last fall when they would come in to testify when I was on a Grand Jury. I can't shoot a subcompact as well as a full gripped pistol, no matter who makes it. |
