I'm so sick of that cheesy line.  The days of 13% State tax are LONG gone.  We actually just voted to lower State tax to 5%.

Also our property tax is very low.

Connecticut and New York for example are much more taxed when you factor in Prop Tax, State, Gas, Sales

So loose the cheesy line.

Yeah, but it has a better ring to it that "Taxacarolina" which is where I live.  Our new state motto:  "We want to tax you the same as when you lived in New Jersey"

Yeah, I know.....Actually I don't live too far from the Oklahoma border and they have a state income tax. There are quite a few people where I work that live in OK and won't move to Texas because the cost of living is cheaper right across the river even with the extra tax. Land is really cheap too. I almost bought 214 acres in OK for right at $50,000 but somebody else from Texas beat me to it. It was right outside a National/State Park and I heard the hunting was great up there. Oh well, Ill keep looking.

According to MONEY magazine TAXACHUSETTS was in the top ten for taxing its citizens.  Been that way for quite a while.

Now NH is one of the lowest taxed and more reasonable state gun policies.  We even have a CCW that people can get...  :-)

Your state probably receives more federal money (stolen from other states) than any state in the union. We could have paved every mile of our interstate system with the 7 billion dollars MA used to dig a 7 mile long hold in Boston and its not even complete! The waste and abuse of federal dollars in MA is unbelieveable.

Hey drjimbob! You're wrong about the amount of taxpayer earnings being dumped into Kennedy's welfare program for the construction industry. The "Big Dig" isn't costing 7 billion dollars. The latest estimates are about 15 billion.

Ok lets get rid of a few other misconceptions.

1) HICAP Mags ARE LEGAL.  I don't know why most people are confused about that.

2) Our gun laws aren't that different EXCEPT for the shitty pistol laws that we had no control over.

2) Kennedy does get us boat loads of Federal dollars.

3) If I lived in NH I would watch my tongue.  Eastern Massholes are moving in VERY fast (I live in the conservative western part).  The population of NH is small enough that displaced Massholes will quickly take over power.  They have already tried to toughen the gun laws up there.  My guess is that in 5 to 10 years they will breed you out just like Braveheart.  You heard it here first.

4) I'm not surprised Mass is top ten for taxes but I live .1 miles from CT and it is far cheaper to live here

5-10 years?  The lower part of NH is already just a suburb of Boston.
My car insurance is SO high because I am charged the same rated as those in Boston.
I have SEEN more accidents with Mass plates(TAGS for you southern boys) than any other state.  Most of them are caused by inadequate merging skills, going through a red light that has been red for 2-4 sec., or changing lanes via a cell phone(wandering) or abrupt "I have to be there" lane changes.

is "MARXachusetts". [:(]

Tim J, that is new class A, B, C of gun permits that they came up with.

A= anything including hi-cap
B= anything except hi-cap
C= rifle or shotgun except hi-cap (the old F.I.D. card)

I am lucky I have the old style pistol permit........no NICS check when I buy a gun.

I do Route 3 every day from I-495 up to Nashua.  What a bunch of total idiots.  Anyone realize that the left lane is the passing lane?  Anyone not talking on their cell phone?

Ah, but what a beautiful sight when I see that sign every afternoon...  "Welcome to New Hampshire".  Leaving the "Peoples Republic of Massachusetts" each afternoon brings a smile to my face.

GeoffM24:  Western Mass reminds me of when I lived in Pennsylvania.  We had to deal with the leftists in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia bringing the whole state down with them.  When they first had "shall issue" carry permits, you couldn't get them in Philadelphia.  Finally the state legislators got some balls and told Philly to go screw themselves.  It's a shame you don't have enough support to tell Boston and Cambridge the same.

SOL

Shazbat:
We need more pro-gun people up here in NH so welcome aboard!  Just do everyone a favor and don't vote like Mass people do.  ;-)

I found my insurance to be fairly reasonable when compared to NE PA where I moved from.  I was expecting to get reamed on auto rates and was pleasantly surprised that it was only about $50 more a year.  I expect you will see a drop when you move here from Mass.

Tim that dealer was misinformed.  You don't need anything to buy any mag since it is not regulated in anyway.

I am afraid MOST dealers I have met have no idea what the laws are.

I found this old dealer that has a sweet Preban Colt AR15, a Mini 14, and a thumbhole AK that he would even talk about selling because he had no idea what the laws are and is afraid to do anything.  I sent him a books worth of printouts from the BATF in regards to the laws but he still won't sell.
