Chilling to hear people sworn the uphold the Constitution say things like that. Our only freedom is in our thoughts indeed. Is that the same thing as saying that we only think we are free?

The truly sad and frightening part is that the politicians he describes in this speech will be completely oblivious to his points.  They have no understanding of the Constitution they swore to uphold and defend.  They're righteously convinced they're doing it "for the children", and "the children" to them are the voters who put them there.

It sounds like Senator Sheila Kuehl needs to be recalled.  Violently.
