Hey Realnice. The recommended dose is 25-100mg per day. If you are older than 65 than you start at 25mg. The regular starting dose is 50mg .5-4 hours prior to intercourse. In combination with nitrates it can cause profound hypotension. Some deaths have been reported due to heart and cardiovascular problems. By the way its safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is also metabolized by the liver and kidney so if you have impairments to either organ, dont take it. Headaches and flushing are the main side effects.
