Aside from the exercise of cutting and pasting this list from your favorite Left Wing website....
...what point is it you are trying to make? You have no commentary? Have YOU served? |
Aside from being an obvious DUh troll, make your point. Unlike Duh, you won't get banned for having a different opinion. Speak Ubu, speak.
I was not aware that serving in the Armed Forces made anybody more or less entitled to have a position of power in our government, nor did I know that serving gave one any other advantage when it comes to being a leader in the political world.
Amazing that one who displays such a lack of courage by not even responding to their own thread, finds it necessary to post "who did, and who did not serve".
Just 'cause you served doesn't mean you aren't an asshole.
HS1 |
Now THAT was funny! |
You know, although this guy is a , the really cool thing about this site is this post will not be locked because of the initial content. If someone posted this kind of thing in DU, it would be locked in seconds. Goes to show that the 2nd Amendment really does allow the continued existance of the 1st Amendment. Also shows the nature of this site.
He's even here editing his post, to make it more presentable.
But no response. Hey StenLach, did you serve? |
Good question............... WELL?????????????????? |
[Broken Arrow/John Travolta]Yeah, ain't it just COOL??!![/Broken Arrow/John Travolta] |
Come on guys the DU would never lock a thread just because it had material copied directly from a conservative site now would they? The difference between there and here is that here we have faith in our beliefs, and do not fear a intelligent argument (or a bare knuckle brawl from time to time).

Here's a set of facts from the Senate website:
www.senate.gov/reference/resources/pdf/RS21379.pdf There are 154 Members of the 108thCongress who have had some form of militaryservice, some 14 fewer than in the 107thCongress. The House has 118 veterans: 70 Republicans 48 Democrats. In the Senate, 35 Members are veterans: 19 Republicans 16 Democrats. They have served in World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and Kosovo, and duringtimes of peace, as well as in the Reserves and the National Guard. One Senator is a former Secretary of the Navy. There has been a steady decline in the number of Memberswho have served in the military, which may be attributed in part to the end of theSelective Service System draft in 1973. How about that? I guess you learn something new every day. Does senator Byrd's "service" in the Ku Klux Klan count? |
One thing you have to mention, those guys were old school democrats. I doubt many of them would support today's democrat pussies.
How about the 106th Congress:
There were 129 Members of the House who have had some form of military service: 78 Republicans 51 Democrats In the Senate, 38 Members have had some form of military service: 22 Republicans 16 Democrats. How about that? |
Purple stars? This is a worthwhile list. |
I served and I think that you are a waste of carbon and an oxygen thief.
Well, you sure impressed the hell out of everyone here StenLach!
What a ZERO... |
What about the green clovers and blue stars? "They're always after me lucky charms..." |
Hey shitbrick, if you're going to post your left-wing nonsense, why not include the name of one Democratic Congressman who would own you all. Not to mention the fact that he loved our military more than just about any other.
G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery - (D) Miss- US Army WWII European Theater/Korea; Bronze Star, European Theater Ribbon, Army Commendation Ribbon Now troddle back over to DU and return to planning more ways that government can intrude into our daily lives. |
Purple Stars are routinely awarded by the US Military for sefl-inflicted injuries. |
Added the most important award that somehow was left out of the list. |
I think he received his Purple Stars for sleeping with his beast of a wife. Edit for spelling. |
The coveted "Sore Pussy" award? WOW! |
Oh! So what you're saying is that all those Dems who served are turncoats who have spent the rest of their public lives dismembering their own and sister services and doing everything they can to hurt the country they swore to protect!
Got it! Thanks! |
Gee, since you seem so interested in veterans, I'm sure you'll take interest in knowing that military personnel favor Bush over Kerry by a margin of greater than 4 to 1. You seem to have left that out of your breakdown for some reason or other.
Hey SenLach!
Collect THIS data and send it to your buddies at DUh: I served (Navy, 1986-1996), and I'm voting for BUSH. Who's with me? |
I served, but I am Voting for Bush, so I guess that means that my service didn't count (according to DU policy I am a chickenshit who isn't fit to wash the underwear of a real veteran).
Both of my grandfathers served in WWI, my father served in both Korean and Vietnam. I served during The Cold War. I'm also voting for BUSH. Add my info to your list, too. |
I think it's safe to say that every veteran with a brain (yes, even Marines) will be voting for Bush/Cheney.
Hey now, watch that crap! USMC '93-'01 Oh, and yes, I'm voting for Bush so you can add that to your statistics. Though since there was no commentary included I'm still not sure what your point was. I forgot to add that you should REMOVE Kerry from that list. As far as I'm concerned he isn't a "veteran" he's a "traitor." |
StenLach,
Did you serve? Dinner, vollyball, tennis............anything?? |
No point in calling him, he did what all trolls did, ran away like a little girl. |
