so I hear that they may put their 'issues' asside and go on tour in 2005!

I missed out on the last one and have been kicking myself in the ass since!

I'm going for sure, next time they're on tour.

what about you?

Will Roger Waters be with them this time around?

I would go just to see DG play his Strats.

yes, like I mentioned, they're putting aside their 'issues' and/or burrying the 'hatchet' as it were.

-thats the rumor goin' round on the radio here.. Pinks getting an awful lot of play recently too.

Damn I have Just about all their albums, well at least everything from Ummagumma to The Division Bell.  I have a very soft spot for Obscured By Clouds and Meddle.  My life as a teen revolved around Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Rush.  I am happy to say my two boys ages 12 and 14 have taken up the same musical tastes .

Geezer Rock.

I liked them in their day, but COME ON!

Dark Side of the Moon is timeless, as well as THE LONGEST LASTING ALBUM EVER IN THE BILLBOARD TOP TEN.

No one or no band has even come close.

I saw them in Oakland back in the 90's and they kicked ass. Strict attention to detail. Superb music and sound.

If they come to Phoenix I'll see them.

Pink Floyd's music is as relevant today as it was 30 years ago.  I was 2 years old when they broke up.  They are the 2nd best band of all time.  First place belongs to Led Zepplin.

Edit:

Ill gladly pay $250 for front row seats if/when they tour.  I will even travel if they manage to skip Phoenix.

I didn't say the music, per say, but the live performance.

Seeing 50~60~70 year olds "rocking out" is kinda sad.

Aerosmith held on pretty long, but they just can't put the energy into the songs anymore.

Hell, some of these geezer tours have the members having heart attacks on stage!

I saw Page/Plant back in 1998.  They were old and couldnt move like they could back in the day, but they could put on a show.

Its an easy choose between watching old concert footage of a young Pink Floyd versus a LIVE concert of an old Pink Floyd.

Absolutely I'd go. Pink Floyd is easily one of my all time favorite bands. Seen'em before and I'd see'em again.

concentrating on making as much money as they can before they and their audience grow too old and decrepit. They've got pensions and mansions to keep up. Old age's a bitch, sonny!

Rock radio needs to make more money in a dwindling market. Hey- when's the next umpteenth Who reunion/comeback/final tour?.....

"Things they do look awful cold
Hope I die before I get old", my ass!

which ones' Pink ?

the one and only Syd Barrett  ..the mad cap laughs........................

An effervescing elephant with tiny eyes and great big trunk

once whispered to the tiny ear, the ear of one in fear, you hear

that by next June he'd die, Oh yeah!

And the tiger would roam, the little one said,

"Oh my goodness -- I must stay at home!

And every time I hear a growl, I'll know the tiger's on the prowl,

And I'll be really safe, you know, the elephant, he told me so."

Everyone was nervous, Oh yeah!

And the message was spread to zebra, mongoose and the dirty hippopotamus

who wallowed in the mud and chewed his spicy hippo-plankton food

and tended to ignore the word,

referring to a survey I heard of stupid water bison

Oh yeah! And all the jungle took fright,

and ran around for all the day and the night,

But all in vain because, you see, the tiger came and said,

"Who me? You know I wouldn't hurt not one of you --

I much prefer something to chew, and you're all too scant."

Oh yeah! He ate the elephant.

Pink Floyd is the only band I would ever pay to see in concert again. I saw them last time and it was the best show I have ever seen. I didn't know they were thinking of a tour but if they come to Cleveland I'm there.

I was just telling someone the other day that if I could see just one band live, any band, it would be Pink Floyd! So if at all possible, I'll go!! Gilmour's one of my all time favorites and I'm just getting back into guitar playing after about a 17 year hiatus, so I'd love to see'em.

I too, saw them in Oakland in 1994.

If they tour again. I'll be there. Even if I had to go to LA, Kali to see them.
