Howdy!
I currently live in Wisconsin and just graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (BBA) in Management. I want to get a law degree, and perhaps a MBA as well.
I've got some severe allergies. Twice a year (beginning of spring and fall), I'm out of commission for a week while my nostrils solid up and my windpipe shrinks by 2/3 or so. I've also got this wonderful ... "stuff" ... that drains down my throat and into my stomach.
I also dislike snow, cold, and hate the lack of sunlight.
I want out and have decided on the southwest. I've always loved that area; my allergies go down to nothing, it's not cold, and there's sun.
Where you get your law degree is generally where you practice law. Thus, I'm not returning to the University of Wisconsin system and getting a law degree from UW-Madison; that means more time here.
I've decided that Arizona (for the Arizona State University and the University of Arizona law programs) or Texas (for the University of Texas at Austin law programs and the other law schools) would be best. I discounted both New Mexico and Nevada due to their lone schools' lackluster law programs. (Moving there later on may well be in the cards. However, this won't happen for at least 5-6 years.) I have looked at Utah, but I dislike how tightly the Mormons control the state and state politics.
Does anyone have any advice for me? Is anyone familiar with Tempe or Tucson, Arizona? How about Austin, Texas?
ANY information and advice is appreciated!
Mike
