I just put it up... something to have fun with.
 It's a small website ranking site that tracks real rough stats. Some other gun sites are up there and I figured it would be nice to see how we stack up.

The more unique IPs it sees the higher the rank goes... I don't think it ranks you until it has 4 or 5 days worth of stats... so next week we'll start seeing it normalize. I think it tracks clicks too...

Yep... like a sucker I was drawn to it..... If everyone clicked it once, I think we could be #1.... the current top site only had 6400 unique clicks.... we have a lot more people here.... |

If you look at the stats, in about 5 minutes we've had over 700 unique visitors to the site... 5 minutes people, yer sick!!! ALL OF YOU!!!  The sites on the front page (top few) are all under that number and they've been running all day. I'd say when we qualify for a real rank, things will fly up pretty damn quick! Ok I'll go now, I think you guys can have fun with it for a bit. (BTW the clicks are monthly totals... wonder how long it will be before we top the current mark for that... heehee) Back to working on important code! |

Traffic has been insane since the new site launched in March and we see a steady continuation in growth each month. Luckily this time I made it a personal mission to invest the time, money, and effort to getting things done right and not eeking our way through things as we've had to do in the past. Thanks to the wonderful support of the community, we have a great network now, diesel backup generator (no downtime, even in blackouts!), and 4 hour turnaround on BW upgrades as needed. We're running new servers with new software, and then for the hell of it, I rewrote the damn forum software while we were at it. Everything is going REAL well in regards to response time for the site against all the traffic and growth. As to our traffic totals, we do over 4 million hits a day, but I'm not sure exactly how high we're at or if we're close to 5 million a day yet! That's not bad at all for any site, let alone a firearm site! Hmmm sorry I think I took your question and kinda spooged on it... It's just nice to see all the hard work pay off and things run so smoothly. I just look forward to the new toys and replacing the image server for you guys. Maybe after that I can take a month of two off and just cruise the site and enjoy it for a little bit!
